About Us

TTU Pillars

The union has two pillars: the first pillar is that of welfare or the bread and butter concerns. Fighting for bread and butter is a traditional function of any trade union in the world. TTU also fights for the same by advocating for issues related to teachers right such as better salary and good working conditions. It is under this pillar that the voices of teachers through TTU are carried.
TTU does not end its vision on bread and butter alone; it extends to self accountability. This is the second pillar. In this, we teachers believe that our actions have great impact to the whole society and that: if we are seriously committed to our professional ethics we will be able to promote and protect the status of the teaching profession and advocate for quality education for all. It is from these two pillars that TTU summarizes its activities to its Responsibilities and Rights as the motto of the union.

OUR VISION

To become an organization with the highest efficiency in uniting teachers and handling various grievances affecting members, striving for better working conditions and the welfare of teachers and to be in the front line in advocating for and protecting the status and dignity of the teaching profession and quality education for all.
